Juice it!

I love fruitdrinks! Smoothies not so much because I thinks it's too thick, it's more like a mush and I like it more juicy. But there's a big disadventage about fruitjuices... It's really expensive when you buy it out on the street or in a healty food store. You can easily lose 5 euros buying one, so I'm not able to buy it that much as I would like. So I asked my mom to buy us a blender, and she did so now I can make my own juices.
Why do I love it? It's delicious, refreshing and most important... It's healty. You need to have about 5 pieces of fresh fruits a day. So putting 3 pieces in a blender and drinking the juice is a really good start. Fruit is full of vitamines, especially vitamine C, and will help you to stay well.

Mongoose vs. Snake!

When I feel like it, I can really enjoy watching National Geographic. It's a very educational program about nature and stuff, you will certainly learn something by watching it. I don't watch it all the time because sometimes it's pretty boring and I don't feel like learning something but a while a go I saw something interesting. It was a fight between a Mongoose, an animal I didn't know at the time, and a snake, more specific a Cobra. I allways thought a snake had a really fast reflexes and that it was his profit during a fight. So I thought, the Cobra is going to win because a Mongoose doesn't seem strong or fast at all. But apparantly I was wrong, the Mongoose is able to avoid the attacks of the Cobra and grabs the head of the Cobra real fast. So for the Mongoose, snake was on the menu that night. So again, I learned something by watching National Geographic and I think that's great. You don't allways have to watch clueless series of movies, it's real fun but sometimes it's nice to have the feeling of knowledge after a program. Because after all, Knowledge is power!

Sex & the City, Single and Fabulous!

blogged earlier about an American serie about the life in New york, called ‘Gossip Girl’. But there’s one I like even more and you may know it if you’re ‘single and fabulous’. I am talking about Sex & the City. Sex & the City is about four best friends who are single, absolutely fabulous and living in New York! They are all about finding the perfect guy and they do that in fashion. Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Dior, Manolo Blahnik, Prada,... You can all find it in their wardrobe. Why I love this show so much? Because, like most women, I can relate myself to the characters. When they say or do something, I sometimes think "Yes it's true, i feel that way too". They don't allways have a boyfriend, but they allways have eachother. I think that's very beautiful and I hope I will still have my girls too when I am their age, and still have so much fun with them.
I am often intrigued by what they say, especially by what Carrie says. In the serie, she writes a column for the New York Times. And what she writes, mostly is very touching. I love that she allways starts her column with 'I couldn't help but wonder...'. And I love even more what comes after that.

Some of my favourite 'Sex & the City' Quotes:

“I like my money where I can see it, hanging in my closet.”
“No matter who broke your heart, or how long it takes to heal, you’ll never get through it without your friends.”
- “Think about it. If you are single, after graduation there isn’t one occasion where people celebrate you … Hallmark doesn’t make a “congratulations, you didn’t marry the wrong guy” card. And where’s the flatware for going on vacation alone?"
- " I will never be the woman with the perfect hair, who can wear white and not spill on it"
- ...

They aren't making any more episodes of SATC, but they made 2 movies recently. I loved them, but i love the serie more. I think 6 seasons is enough, there's nothing left to say. I can still watch it over and over again without getting tired of it!

Don't sushi it!

I LOVE sushi!

That's why i wanted to blog about it because i think everybody should try it. It's delicious and yes it's raw fish but that doesn't make it less yummie. But some fish just doesn't belong on a sushi plate, and shoudn't be served in any restaurant or being eaten by people! I am talking about whale and bluefin tuna. Serving whale is already illegal but people still do it. Bluefin tuna is still being served, not in every country, and nearing extinction. But luckily i'm not the only one who thinks these fish should be kept off the menu. As well tuna and whale are being protected by many men. Greenpeace and WWF both fight for these animals. Even moviemakers did an effort to save the whales.
I still love eating sushi but i'm just aware of the fact that you can't just eat all fish that swims in the sea, so i won't eat tunarolls again, but lucky me...I didn't like them that much anyway!

Get it curly!

I have allways wanted my hair to be wavy and a certain period off my life, my hair was a bit curly but than I wanted to have it straight so I bought a straightener. When I wanted the waves back in my hair, I figured i needed to find a solution! A friend told me you could also get you hair wavy with a straightener but she never showed me or told me how to do that. So I went looking on google but i figured it would be more easy if I saw somebody doing it, so I did a little research on youtube. And I found it, a very teaching video! They show you every step of the way how to curl your hair with a straightener. So now I can have my hair curly AND straight!
Here's one off the video's i saw how to do it.

How to dress like Serena

I love watching the serie "Gossip Girl" and I wanted to post someting about it. But I didn't just want to talk about what happens in this serie or what's so great about it, so I picked a subject more specific; Serena Van Der Woodsen's style, I choose this because i love the way she dresses.
I did a little bit of research on the internet and I was really suprised by all the commotion about her style, a lot of blogs talk about her so that makes it easy to blog someting about her myself. I picked one blog out in particular; How to dress like Serena Van Der Woodsen. The person who wrote it, observed Serena's clothes very well and gives you all the advice you need to look like her, even how to get your hair wavy like Serena. What's certain, is that the outfits this actrice wears in the serie are not cheap, really expensive actually. The blogger tought of that, so she references to a couple shops where you can buy clothes who look like her's for less money, you can even buysome of her clothes on Ebay!
I think it's lovely there are blogs like these to dress like Serena because she has a fabulous style but in my opinion, you shouldn't copy everything she wears and it's best to create your own style using tips from blogs like these!

The power of Raggae

I was watching the popular tv-quiz "De allerslimste mens", i normally don't really like this show but when the right people are involved, it can be great to watch. This time, there was a video involved that really impressed me. It's a video where you get to see a child who gets really annoying when he needs to sit in his car seat. The father is a deep believer of the power of raggae and he plays a song from Bob Marley, he puts on the recond "Buffalo soldier". The child calms down when he hears the song and makes a happy face. This is the proove that Raggae does have a great power over people! It brings peace and cheers people up. The people in the video even see it as a sort of faith, like believing in Jesus. But instead of believing in a god, they believe in music like raggae and chronic!
